It's that time of year again. I never get around to ordering photo desk calendars before Christmas, which is a shame because they make lovely gifts. Instead, I make sure to order them in the January sales. I like to use photos taken in the relevant month from the year before. It's a lovely task for a grey January day to sort through my favourites from the previous year.
The only downside to this approach is not receiving the calendar until half-way through the first month, which seems a bit of a waste. I mentioned in an earlier post that Photobox are my go-to company for desk calendars, and one of the features they offer is 'choose your own start month'. So this year I've chosen February as my 'start month'. A bit weird, I know, but this way I get to enjoy the calendar for a full 12 months and I won't spend next January forlornly looking at December's page whilst I wait for next year's calendar to arrive.
Here's a look at my cover page. I'll feed back on the calendar itself once it gets here.
PS - I've realised that most of the photo projects I've worked on since starting this blog 6 months ago have been with Photobox. I'm not affiliated with them, or any other photo printing company, and do use other companies. I'll be making an effort to share a wider variety of reviews in 2014, so stay tuned!
